Archaeologists are extracting a rare bronze sculpture discovered at the Sanxingdui Ruins site in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The 1.5-meter-tall sculpture consists of three parts, which were cast separately and then welded together. The artifact is the first of its kind ever found at the site.

First discovered in the late 1920s, the 3,000-year-old Sanxingdui Ruins site has been dubbed as one of the most significant ancient remains found in the 20th century.
