Summer harvest is in full swing across China. Combined harvesters shuttle through golden wheat waves, as 40,471 hectares of summer grain are harvested in northern China's Hejin City, although more than 50% of the area was affected by continuous heavy rainfall last year. Northwestern China's Xianyang City implemented the mode of planting wheat in winter and planting corn in summer to increase grain production. In eastern China's Binhai County, large areas of saline-alkali tolerant wheat were harvested. After constructing drainage and irrigation facilities, returning straw to the fields and other measures, yields have gradually increased.
