Japan to miss first meeting of states parties to nuclear weapons ban treaty: Kyodo

The Japanese government has decided not to attend the first Meeting of States Parties to the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) in Vienna, Austria from June 21 to 23, Kyodo News reported Wednesday citing an unnamed source.

Japan has not yet signed or ratified the TPNW.
