Known as "China's Sichuan pepper hometown," southwest China's Chongqing's Jiangjin District in June ushered in the full harvesting period of 35,000 hectares of Sichuan pepper. In recent years, Jiangjin District has been increasing the Sichuan pepper industry investment in science and technology to promote the transformation of traditional agriculture to intelligent agriculture. With the help of science and technology, the first-class quality of Sichuan pepper's yield touched more than 90 percent, and the processing volume increased by 20 percent. This year, Jiangjin's Sichuan pepper production is expected to reach 360,000 tons, achieving a new record high.
