Chinese archaeologists unearthed a rarely seen bronze head with a gold mask at the famed and mysterious Sanxingdui Ruins site in China's southwestern Sichuan Province on Thursday. The latest find, relatively well preserved and with intricate details, was excavated from the No. 8 sacrificial pit at the site. As both bronze and gold were considered rare metals, archaeologists believe that the owners of the artifact were wealthy and powerful.
