One person died after a fire at a Shanghai petrochemical company early Saturday. Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical said the fire broke out in its ethylene glycol plant area. Rescue operations are underway and authorities say the fire is under effective control. Authorities have triggered a contingency plan and are monitoring the environment inside and outside the facility. So far, there has been no impact on the surrounding waters.
