China's homegrown TP500 unmanned transport plane successfully completed its maiden flight on June 18. The aircraft performed smoothly during its entire 27-minute flight. The TP500 was independently developed and manufactured by Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). It's the first large unmanned transport plane produced according to Chinese Civil Aviation Administration guidelines.
