U.S. approves Pfizer, Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for youngest kids

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cleared the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for children aged five and younger on Saturday, making the U.S. the first country to approve the use of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines in children as young as six months.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration had authorized their emergency use in young children a day earlier.
