Millions of livestock have started their summer migration in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The local officials have helped herders increase their income by giving them allowance both on the sheep and pastures they own. From 2021 to 2025, Xinjiang will also invest about 38 million U.S. dollars each year to protect people's livelihood and the sustainable development of pastures at the same time.
