A teenager was shot dead and three others were wounded, including a police officer, at a music event in U.S. capital Washington, D.C., local police said at a press briefing on Sunday.

The Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia said the shooting occurred in the city's northwest jurisdiction in the area of 14th and U Street during a Juneteenth celebration.

The police said there was no active threat. Video clips shared online by local journalists and residents showed several police cruisers and ambulances in the area. An investigation into the incident is underway.
