The Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament, on Monday ratified "The Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence," also known as the Istanbul Convention, with 259-4 votes.
Twenty-five lawmakers abstained their votes.
