Germany confiscates real estate from Russian Duma member for the first time due to sanctions

German prosecutors have seized three apartments and a bank account owned by a Russian lawmaker and his wife under European Union sanctions imposed because of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The seizure was ordered last Tuesday and took effect on Monday.
