Provinces in south China have raised alert levels as record-level floods force people from their homes after weeks of heavy rainfall. Guangdong Province's Shaoguan City has raised its flood alert to the highest level. In neighboring Jiangxi Province, authorities have issued a "red alert" after more than 400,000 people were affected by flooding.
