Flowering in the desert, water lilies in full bloom in Bosten Lake

Wild water lilies in Xinjiang's Bosten Lake have entered their blooming season, and over 80,000 mu (53.33 square kilometers) of the lake is covered by the plant.

Despite being surrounded by the Gobi Desert, Bosten Lake is the largest inland freshwater lake in China. Every year between June to August is the best time to enjoy the spectacular view of the water lily "flowering in the desert".
