Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday described sanctions as a boomerang and a double-edged sword in his keynote speech delivered in virtual format at the opening ceremony of the BRICS Business Forum. After watching Xi's speech, Madhav Das Nalapat, Professor of Geopolitics in Manipal University in India, said that sanctions against Russia hurt Europe and the U.S. themselves, as well as Asia, Africa and Latin America.
