U.S. Supreme Court strikes down restrictive NY gun law, sparks outrage
01:44

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on June 23 that Americans have a right to carry guns in public, a major expansion of gun rights.

It struck down a New York gun law in a ruling expected to directly impact half a dozen other populous states. The decision allows more people to legally carry guns across the nation's largest cities, including New York, Los Angeles and Boston.

From the ordinary people of New York to American officials, they keep expressing their outrage. The New York governor said "a dark day has come" while the country's president was "disappointed."
