China's National Meteorological Center has issued a high-temperature alert over northern parts of the country until June 26. A heatwave is sweeping through 18 provinces and cities. Temperatures are forecast to exceed 40℃ in some parts of northern provinces, including Hebei, Henan and Shandong.
