China wins 4th artistic swimming gold at FINA Worlds

Team China continued to dominate the artistic swimming pool at the 19th FINA World Championships, winning their fourth gold medal in the women's team free event on Friday.

The Chinese team, consisting of Feng Yu, Chang Hao, Wang Ciyue, Wang Liuyi, Wang Qianyi, Xiang Binxuan, Xiao Yanning and Zhang Yayi, staged an impressive performance to score 96.7000 points.

China had already taken gold in the women's duet free, women's duet technical and the team technical, and won a bronze medal in the mixed duet technical prior to Friday's victory.

Also on Friday, China's Zhang Yufei finished 3rd in the women's 50m butterfly, clocking 25.32 seconds behind Sarah Sjoestroem of Sweden and Melanie Henique of France.

Team Australia set a new world mark in the mixed 4x100m freestyle relay in three minutes and 19.38 seconds, shattering the previous record of 3:19.40 set by the United States at the 2019 World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.
