Land: the most precious gift from nature
CGTN

China's National Land Day, which falls on June 25, calls on people's attention in land preservation and sustainability. This year marks the 32nd anniversary with the theme to encourage restraint in the use of land.

Terraced fields are fields built on hillsides or mountain slope. It is an effective way to ensure grain production by taking a good use of the natural terrain. Meanwhile this form of land can also help combat the soil and water erosion in the area.

Terraces with different characteristics can be found from the northwest to the southern part of China. Here is the collection of the unique landscapes.
