Twenty five years on, the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Garrison in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) has always remained true to its original aspiration and vowed to make new contributions to maintain the prosperity and stability of the city. In recent years, with different kinds of new-type equipment commissioned, the combating capability of the garrison has been improved in many ways. As a force comprised of the three services of PLA, the garrison kept deepening integration and improving the combat effectiveness of the three services.
