Weather forecasters renewed a yellow alert for heavy downpours in many parts of China. It is the second lowest level in the four-tiered rainstorm warning system. Heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Liaoning, Shandong, and Jiangsu provinces. Authorities have issued the lowest level flood alert for the areas.
