China's economic planning agency, the National Development and Reform Commission, held a press conference, reviewing the country's efforts in high quality development. Officials pointed out that China eradicated extreme poverty and maintained a reasonable speed of economic growth over the past ten years, claiming the number of private enterprises have quadrupled in the past decade and that China will continue to work on a better environment for foreign investors.
