Two armed suspects were killed and six police officers wounded in a shootout at a bank in British Columbia, Canada, police said on Tuesday, adding that the incident also prompted the evacuation of nearby homes over a possible explosive device. 

"This remains an ongoing police incident with a heavy police presence in the area," according to a statement Saanich police posted on their website.
