As of June 29, the death toll in the Texas migrant smuggling horror has risen to 53. The victims found dead in the sweltering tractor-trailer in southwest San Antonio came from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, according to U.S. Homeland Security officials. The driver of the tractor-trailer has been arrested and charged with involvement in alien smuggling resulting in death. Federal prosecutors have also arrested and charged three other men in connection with the crime.
