The Group of Seven (G7) countries should stop maliciously slandering and smearing China or grossly interfering in its internal affairs in any form, Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said Wednesday at a routine press conference.
Zhao made the remarks when asked for a comment after the bloc made unfounded accusations against China regarding issues related to Hong Kong, Xinjiang, Taiwan and the East and South China Seas in a closing statement following a three-day summit in Elmau, Germany.
