Justice Stephen Breyer will officially retire from the U.S. Supreme Court on June 30.

Breyer has written a letter to President Joe Biden to inform him that the Court will hand down its final decisions for this term on the morning of June 30, and that he will officially retire at noon.

He will be replaced by Ketanji Brown Jackson, who will begin her service as the 116th member of the court this fall.
