Czech Republic takes over EU Council presidency from France

The Czech Republic took the six-month rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU) from France on Friday.
Its presidential term began with meeting between Czech President Petr Fiala and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in the town of Litomysl.
