Activists gathered outside the justice center in downtown Akron, Ohio on Friday to protest the shooting of 25-year-old African American man Jayland Walker. He was shot dead after a traffic violation at around 12:30 a.m. on Monday by city police officers, according to the department's Facebook post. The Fourth of July celebration in the city was canceled as a result of the heated atmosphere.
