Two people were killed and 20 others injured after unidentified gunmen attacked a convoy of the 207 Al-Farooq Corps in Afghanistan's Herat on Monday, local Ariana News reported, citing sources.

A source in the 207 Al-Farooq Corps said that the 20 injured in the attack included two children and 18 members of the corps. 

According to the police, one attacker was killed and two others fled following the incident. 

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
