The seventh Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Foreign Ministers' Meeting begins on Monday in Myanmar. Foreign ministers from China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam are meeting in the city of Bagan.

China's Wang Yi is chairing the meeting. The discussions will focus on economic cooperation, resource sharing and on hydroelectric projects along the Mekong delta. Wang Yi will head to Indonesia later, to attend the G-20 foreign ministers' meeting. The trip will also take him to Thailand, the Philippines and Malaysia.
