In the US, a gunman has killed two people and wounded four others in Texas. The suspect took his own life after the shooting. Three of the injured are police officers. This is among a series of shootings across the US as the country celebrates its Independence Day holiday on July 4. There were also shootings in Houston, Chicago and Missouri. The youngest victim is a 17-year-old girl. According to the Gun Violence Archive, an independent database, over 22,000 people have died in the US in 2022 due to guns.
