In Choegyab's house, there is a porcelain bowl with flying cranes depicted on it. It's a sign of his great affection for the birds. From time to time, Choegyab travels from his winter pasture to his summer pasture to check on and film the breeding black-necked cranes. On horseback, the journey takes him four hours. Before he sets out, his family prepares some dumplings or momos, stuffed with yak meat.
