Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi has met his Thai counterpart in Bangkok as he continues to visit Southeast Asia. On Monday, Wang chaired the seventh Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) Foreign Ministers' Meeting attended by the foreign ministers of the five other countries along the Lancang-Mekong River, and said during the event in Myanmar that the Lancang-Mekong cooperation mechanism has been effective in promoting regional stability and prosperity. The six participating countries include China, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.
