China firmly opposes unreasonable sanctions and the "long-arm jurisdiction" imposed by the United States, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian at a press briefing in Beijing on July 7, 2022. 

Zhao made the statement in response to a question regarding U.S. sanctions on Chinese and Argentinian enterprises for exporting oil and gas products to the Middle East.
