China's civil aviation sector is making a comeback after a continual decline in COVID-19 cases in recent months.
"China's domestic flight volume has returned to about 70 percent of the pre-pandemic levels. Demand for international flights has risen rapidly as the quarantine period for travelers coming from foreign countries to China has been shortened from 21 days to 10 days," said Fu Lihong, vice general manager of Freight Network Department of China Southern Airlines.
Chen Linan, director of Public Relations Department of Ctrip, said that travel searches on the platform have risen fivefold from June 29 when China removed the asterisk mark on digital travel history codes.
