China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Thursday suspended a "circuit-breaker" mechanism that banned certain flights that brought in passengers infected with COVID-19, the government said in a statement.

The city will require arrivals to take an additional COVID-19 nucleic acid test on the third day during their quarantine at designated hotels starting Friday.
