Former Japanese Prime Minister Abe was showing no vital signs after being shot on Friday at a campaign event in the Nara region, Japan, local media reported. A suspect, a 42-year-old man, has been arrested for attempted murder. The suspect is a former Maritime Self-Defense Force member, according to Fuji TV.
