A scarce mutated large versicolor lotus flower boasting a unique combination of red and white has recently blossomed in southwest China's Yunnan Province, attracting attention from experts and visitors alike. The mutated flower is rare even among the already-rare versicolor lotus flowers, which are endemic to the region. Experts believe the mutation appears in just one in 100,000 flowers, which is even less common than in twin lotus flowers.
