Health authorities in New Zealand on Saturday reported the first monkeypox case in the country, and the infected is a person in his/her 30s who lives in Auckland. 

The person has recently returned from overseas travel in a country with reported cases of monkeypox, the country's health ministry said in a statement without disclosing other details.
