Party leaders in Sri Lanka have demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, along with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, according to local media reports.

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena is set to take over as temporary president, as per the country’s constitution.
