China defeated Australia 14-10 in the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup Women's Final in Singapore on Sunday to win the tournament championship for the first time in history.

The two teams played each once in the group stage when China won 20-12 on Saturday. China knocked out Thailand and Japan in the quarterfinals and semifinals, while Australia eliminated Mongolia and Indonesia on their way to the Final.

The Chinese men's team beat the Philippines 20-18 in the third-place game of the 3x3 Asia Cup, tying their best record for the tournament. China advanced from Group B with two wins over the Philippines and Singapore. They defeated South Korea in the quarterfinals but lost to Australia in the semifinals.

Chinese players exploited well their size advantage to dominate the paint while the Philippines were sharp from the outside. The game remained close until the last minute. China's Liu Zeyi kept causing damage under the rim while Almond Vosotros missed the game-tying shot for the Philippines.

Australia beat New Zealand 21-17 in the Men's Final to win the championship.
