Local police have arrested three people in connection with an arson attack at Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's private residence in Colombo on Saturday night, the Daily Mirror reported on Sunday, citing the police.

Wickremesinghe's private residence was set ablaze by a group of protesters during the prevailing unrest.

The report also noted that local police are conducting further investigations to identify and arrest additional suspects.
