The world's largest subtropical botanical garden, South China National Botanical Garden, was inaugurated Monday in Guangzhou, the capital city of south China's Guangdong Province. Covering a total area of 333 hectares, the sprawling botanical garden houses more than 17,000 species of ex situ conservation plants, featuring an array of exotic flowers and plants growing in the desert, polar regions, and rainforests.
