Recently, 12 cute collared falconets were captured on video in Yingjiang County, southwest China's Yunnan Province. The scientific name for the collared falconet is Microhierax caerulescens, and they are about the same size as sparrows and like to live in groups. They feed on butterflies and dragonflies and can also feed on birds about the same size as themselves, hence why they are called the "world's smallest raptor." Collared falconets are under second-class state protection in China.
