EU approves 1b-euro loan to Ukraine

European Union ministers approved a 1 billion-euro loan to Ukraine on Tuesday as part of a new exceptional macro-financial assistance package, Valdis Dombrovskis, the European Commission's executive vice president and commissioner for trade, said via Twitter.
