In September, 2021, the Haifa Bay Port opened in Israel, and is the most advanced, greenest and fastest-constructed port terminal on the Mediterranean. The port is a project of China-Israel collaboration, and is expected to promote Israel's imports and exports, and to boost the local economy. The port's opening marks an important step in linking businesses along China's Maritime Silk Road.
