00:45

The death toll from the latest monsoon in Pakistan's Karachi went up to around 20 by Monday night. Rescue workers say at least six were killed over the last 24 hours.

Karachi, the financial hub of Pakistan, is currently in a state of urban flooding due to a heavy rainfall which started last week. Karachi's chief meteorologist says the heavier part of the spell was over with light and  moderate rain expected over the next couple of days. According to Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority, 97 were killed and 101 injured in separate rain-related accidents across the country over the last three weeks.
