IMF again cuts U.S. 2022 growth forecast to 2.3%

On Tuesday, the IMF cut the U.S. 2022 growth forecast to 2.3 percent from what was 2.9 percent in late June. It warned that avoiding recession in the country will be "increasingly challenging." The Fund also cut its 2023 real GDP growth forecast to 1 percent from 1.7 percent.
