China-Central Asia Ties: Beijing hosts opening ceremony of 9th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum

The Chinese capital has hosted the opening ceremony of the 9th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum. Representatives from China, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan took part in the event today. The slogan of the event is "embrace cooperation for mutual benefit, join hands to meet challenges and build a better future." The participants are expected to discuss cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as women's development, agriculture, education and digital economy.

From neighborly and friendly relations to strategic partnerships, China and Central Asian countries have deepened mutual political trust, and created a new model for international relations. China hopes to work with Central Asian countries, facilitate economic and trade exchanges, and reinforce cooperation in people-to-people cultural exchanges."
