Expert: Political turmoil and worst economic crisis hold nation back

The political turmoil in Sri Lanka broke out after the country defaulted on its foreign debts and suffered from the worst economic crisis since its independence from British rule. Colombo has yet to reach an agreement with the IMF over a bailout package. Qu Qiang, the Assistant Director of the International Monetary Institute at Renmin University, says political turmoil and inability to push for reforms hold the nation back from reaching an agreement with IMF.
